[Photo mode] Neros design is so much more eastern than Dante's by comparison. For marketing reasons?

(Spoilers DMC 5 and anime) So I think I realized why Dante yelled "Get out of my way Nero"

    Posted: 21 Apr 2020 12:09 PM PDT

I was kinda with most people in finding it funny, how when Vergil shows up in 5, that Dante yells "Get out of my way, Nero!" even though Nero is a good thirty feet away from both of them. Then during Quarantine I replayed the game and rewatched the anime.

In the games already, and various cut scenes, we're shown the fact that how the characters fight is probably way more athletic and widespread than it is even in game. When Nero fights Artemis already we're shown that he runs along walls and makes far reaching dives, even before he unlocks his devil trigger. In those brief cut scenes where we see Dante fight it's just as athletic, and we can assume in a full fight even more so since he has his full power.

Then when I was rewatching the anime I realized something from the final episode. In the final fight Dante uses his Devil Trigger, which I hadn't realized what it was my first viewing. For those who haven't seen the show, I'll link the scene at the bottom, but he flashes into his Devil Trigger for maybe a second, and it destroys the entire top of the area they're on in an explosion. That's him fighting a relatively weak, by scale of final bosses, demon and only for a half second.

While we don't know how long his fights with Vergil last in character, it's probably safe to assume that they last several seconds on the low end, or several minutes on the high end, just since they're very evenly matched, and have a lot of powers and abilities that cancel each other out.

In this game as well Dante unlocks his Sin Devil Trigger, which is said to be several times more powerful than his normal one and far as we're aware he's no where near as limited in using it as he is in game. Meaning there's no real telling how destructing a full fledged fight between Vergil and Dante is actually in character.

With all that in mind, I'm pretty sure he yelled "get out of my way, Nero!" because from what we've seen in character, and with his Sin Devil Trigger in mind and how destructive that must be (note Dante basically destroyed an entire area fighting Mundus in 1), it's probably safe to say that Dante was yelling that more or less because when he does unleash his full power, which he often needs to with Vergil, it destroys pretty much everything nearby. Nero is pretty tough, but as far as Dante is aware, and especially without his devil Trigger unlocked yet, there wouldn't really be all that much chance of him surviving being that close to Dante and Vergil entering their Devil Triggers.

    Vergil's comeback

    Posted: 21 Apr 2020 12:06 PM PDT

    Greetings Demon hunters,

When Vergil gets back into his own self (after the whole Urizen fiasco thingy) if I recall correctly when the game shows his name it also appears as a subtitle "The Alpha and the Omega". Does anyone have a theory or an Idea why? I get that he has become stronger than he usually was, but it doesn't seem strange that he gets that "name"? What are your thoughts?

Hope someone didn't asked for this a few hours ago or something. Thanks!

Devil May Cry 2 should've pulled a "Resident Evil 1.5"

    Posted: 21 Apr 2020 11:10 AM PDT

When RE2 was 80% complete, it got scrapped and rebuilt again to what became known as the real RE2.

I think the same should've happened with DMC2. It should've been scrapped and remade from the ground up and became the current DMC3.

That would also mean that there would be an unreleased DMC1.5, which is the current DMC2 we have

    Do you agree on this?
