    A newcomer's love letter to DMC1

    Can I just start with saying I only played the DmC reboot a few years ago and 100% it on my PS3? So I got the HD collection of the trilogy on PS4 and I was SHOCKED at how good the first game is. Honestly, the guns, the weapons, the bosses, items, the mansion, each level design, just everything is fantastic in a really tight-knit little game. My god just brilliant for a 2001 game.

    I can't believe I hadn't played it sooner. I used to have a friend in school back in the 2000s that was obsessed with this game. He was particularly obsessed with 3. I miss you Jordan buddy!

    I never really checked it out until now. Honestly the first game blew me away. Trying to beat the mirror-Dante knight (I don't know the official names) felt like trying to beat a Dark Souls boss except more frustrating. And I loved it. What a vision the developers had for this game.

    My only problem......... I'm now playing DMC2 and I just finished the Infested Chopper fight and Nefasturris. Don't get me wrong I am still super invested in the story but I just don't get it. Maybe I'm doing something right/wrong but those bosses didn't do a single point of damage on me. Maybe I'm just trained from DMC1? But that was really strange. I still don't understand it yet but it feels like I'm playing Bayonetta.

    I have yet to fall in love with this game like I did the first and now I'm kinda worried that my old friend hyping up DMC3 isn't going to live up to the hype of 1. As for 4&5... If 2 and 3 deliver I will definitely be buying these games at full price.

    This is my first time with the Devil May Cry community so please go easy on me!

    So I replayed dmc3 for ol' times sake and I noticed something. In the cutscene after the last fight with Vergil he says "nobody can have this dante, it belongs to a son of Sparda!" Referring to the amulet given to him by their mother. He then he decides to stay in the demon world, presumably to avoid paying child support. Anyways I remember in dmc1 Nelo Angelo still had the amulet. So when he said "nobody can have this Dante" he fuckin' meant it because as I'm 100% sure you all know mundus put him through torture, brainwashing and all other kinds of demonic shit to turn him to nelo Angelo, and through all that Vergil still refused to give up the memory of his mothers love. Through all of that. Vergil's mental strength is beyond astounding

    About Nero's "devil trigger" in DMC4

    I'm not sure if this has been discussed before so forgive me if it has. this has been on my mind for a while ever since DMC5 released, but now with the reveal of playable Vergil I've gone back to this idea.

    So as we know in DMC5, Nero loses the devil bringer and can't activate his "devil trigger" anymore, but by the end of the game he's spurred by his will to protect Dante and Vergil and achieves a full fledged DT, nothing like his spectral Jojo's Bizzare Adventure stand like DT in DMC4. This made me wonder what the hell exactly what the DMC4 DT was if the DMC5 DT is considered to be the true one.

    Then with the reveal of DMC5 SE showcasing playable Vergil it hit me. What if Nero's DT in DMC4 wasn't actually a DT, but some form of Doppelganger?

    Vergil's doppelganger was introduced in the Vergil's Downfall dlc for the reboot. In that game he made a spectral copy of his human form, but in DMC5, Vergil has that exact ability but summons a spectral version of his Sin DT. Nero's DMC4 DT is a partial spectral version of his DT from DMC5 that copies all of his movements with a slight delay, which makes me think he hasn't fully realized his Doppelganger ability. We know Nero has inherited some of Vergil's abilities being his son and all. Such as a bastardized version of summoned swords which looks like daggers instead of swords, and that he can summon a spectral Yamato for his DT combos in DMC5. There's also tablehopper but I'm not exactly sure, I think it's supposed to imitate Vergil's Darkslayer style evade but it could just be made to look visually cool.

    What do you guys think? Did deadweight activate his doppelganger mistaking it for a DT?

    My first proper Bloody Palace attempt without a sudden interruption. Got done in by Arkham of all bosses, still salty af especially since I didn't have a plan B without Kalina Ann. Also somehow managed to complete Secret Mission 3 on my Vergil playthrough.

    The pain of hitting 2 different buttons to double jump is just too much. Especially when reaching secret areas. It would be easy too, just model in an air roll, or steal it from Dante/Nero.

    I'd like plenty of things like rebalancing, Vergil's normal DT along with SDT, dedicated levels and official multiplayer. Maybe in 6. But tempering my expectations, I feel like this is achievable.

    I'd tweet out at Matt or something, but I don't use Twitter. Plus I'm sure a brand new account would be sus, especially one made to tweet at one guy. I don't want to be mistaken for a harasser.

    Anything else you guys can think of that could possibly be added between now and Nov 10? Who knows, maybe a member of staff lurks here.

    Edit: wouldn't it be sick if Vergil's Spiral Swords could parry enemies like Dante's Ice Age?

    Devil May Cry 6 Leak

    Words on the screen: You've fought Demon Kings... (Mundus and Urizen are shown) but have you fought... Humans... Seeking demonic POWER?

    Audience: Yes God damn it not this again... Every time with this series it's either a demon king or some weak ass human with demon power....

    Words on screen: BREAK THE CURSE OF EVEN NUMBERED DEVIL MAY CRYS

    Dante is shown dodging all of Mundus moves easily and even getting a shave while he dodges. "Thanks, I needed that!"

    Vergil: Why did we even come here? Look how weak he is... ... This. Is. Power. bitch slaps Mundus with Sin DT

    Mundus crumbles into an orange goo and a bunch of eyeballs.

    Mundus: YOU FOOLS. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE. NOW IT WILL BE ANOTHER TWO THOUSAND-

    Nero uses his Overture to shock the crap out of the orange Goo so that it's just hardened crap now.

    Mundus: AUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    It explodes into an orange mist.

    The mist infects Nero's new human arm and now Nero has an orange gooey arm with eyeballs that's stronger than the devil bringer. The DEVIL SEE-ER.

    The trailer shows Nero using his new devil arm to slam dunk enemies and basically do the same crap as he did with the buster.

    Dante: How do we get out of here?

    Nero: My new Devil See-er can see the way out... Follow me guys.

    The DMC2 Motorcycle is the first boss, having become infected with demonic power. All three sons of Sparda defeat it quickly. Vergil gets a blue motorcycle from the boss.

    Vergil: Let's rock, scum....

    Nero has a new theme song: Orange Goo Electric Boogaloo. Which references his new arm fused with Overture. Due to Capcom's time constraints, there's only one devil breaker in the game and he gets Yamato at the end again but he can't use it unless he uses Showdown.

    Sanctus survived somehow and appears in the trailer. Having found the fountain of youth in hell.

    Neo Sanctus: Back in my day... I knew how to party. a bunch of demons show up Nero. I'm here for that arm.

    Vergil: You're not taking my son's arm.

    Neo Sanctus: What is that? Love?

    Vergil: LOOK IT UP!!!!! slices Sanctus into pieces

    Sanctus regenerates like Majin Buu.

    Dante: What the hell? We can't beat that...

    Nero: What's happening to you Dante? You're not confident at all.

    Dante has DMC2 flashbacks

    Words on screen: LEARN THE TRUTH OF DEVIL MAY CRY 2. THE ORIGIN OF THE CURSE.

    Dante: I haven't had pizza in so long... I get really weak and I get manic depression.... Ugh... No...

    Later on Dante gets twin rocket launchers and twin shotguns and two pizza cutters AKA Cavalier is back.

    Sanctus: You fools don't understand. The real villain IS CAPCOM. THEY KEEP RUSHING THESE EVEN NUMBERED GAMES. IT'S TIME TO BREAK THE CURSE.

    Dante: I tried.... It's impossible....

    Vergil: You buffoons...rips off Nero's new arm

    Nero: AUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Vergil absorbs the new arm to see the future.

    Vergil: There's only one way to break this curse. Have you not been paying attention? We need to lose now...on purpose.... And wait for the special edition to win. It's the only way!

    Dante: No... NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    DEVIL. MAY. CRY. 6. Subtitle: SIX SIX SIX.

    Sanctus is seen in bed with his wife Matier who was also restored to Youth who looks like Cleopatra.

    Sanctus: Ready for the party, baby?

    What's the deal with Vergil now?

    So like, Urizen ate the fruit of the Qliphoth. Same thing Mundus did. Shouldn't Vergil be like the king of Hell now or something? Cause wasn't it Trish who said

    "It's what made Almighty Mundus so powerful" or something along those lines? And by extension would that make Nero like the......Prince of Hell or something

    Like I know Agrosax is dead, not so sure about Mundus though
