The sparda intro was always kinda funny to me.

    Posted: 09 May 2020 06:18 AM PDT

Game: "Once, there was a badass motherfucker named sparda"

Me:"Holy shit that dude looks like demonic batman!"

Game: "He was such a hardcore badass that he beat the shit out of hell,"

Me: "Wow this dude's something else!"

Game: "All to protect mankind. he punched meteors out of the skies with his giant dick, fought entire armies while naked with only his bare fists, and kicked anyone who ever kicked a puppy. and then they exploded because his foot was just that awesome."

Me: "THIS DUDE IS HYPE I CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY AS HIM-"

    Game: "And then he died."

    Me:"..........................oh."

    [Shitpost] Shut it!

    Posted: 09 May 2020 08:37 AM PDT

I just finished mission 5 in Devil May Cry. I can't believe I never played these games until now.

    Posted: 09 May 2020 04:20 PM PDT

Like the title says, I had never played any of the DMC games until now. I'd obviously heard of them before, and being a Resident Evil fan I'd always been curious about the series due to their shared history. I can definitely see a lot of RE in the game so far, which is fun to experience.

Honestly though, despite being interested in the series, I never expected to be this drawn in. The primary hurdle I had early on was learning combo timing. I didn't know there were any aside from the basic three hit combo until I looked it up. After that, it was a ton of fun. There isn't too much enemy variety at this point, and I'm rarely even getting A ranks in fights, but it's fun.

The most difficult fight so far was definitely the lava scorpion, the first boss. It absolutely kicked my ass until I found out Devil Trigger was a thing, at which point I barely scraped by. However, Mission 4 absolutely sold me on the game. The fight against Nelo Angelo is incredibly fun. It reminded me a lot of the Souls games, really, and I can see where those take influence from here. The feeling of getting your ass kicked at first only to slowly improve is definitely similar, and on my final attempt at the fight I only got hit once. It was super satisfying. Overall, I'm super excited to play the rest of the series (aside from 2, which I've only heard bad things about).

Am I missing something when it comes to Urizen? [DMC 5]

    Posted: 09 May 2020 05:01 PM PDT

I'll admit pretty openly that i'm not very good at the DMC games in general, and some of the bosses kicked my butt pretty hard even on just Devil Hunter difficulty... However, what stands out is Urizen. Obviously the first two times you fight him it's a scripted loss, but on the third fight where you CAN beat him... Well I just don't understand what i'm doing wrong.

In a game that's about racking up combos and and never stopping your attack, Urizen feels so out of place to me. He's constantly attacking and there's almost 0 time between every attack. It feels like if I don't limit myself to one or two hits and then running, i'll just get destroyed. Is there some trick to fighting him that i'm just totally missing, or is he just a really difficult boss?

I want a Devil Trigger Remix with Crash saying Whoa in it

    Posted: 09 May 2020 07:53 PM PDT

I was watching the Whoa Meme Compilation video making a comment that says "The Whoa falls around my Whoa And the Whoa begins to Whoa whoa Gotta Whoa! Gotta Whoa! Gotta!" before saying "Now I want a Devil Trigger Whoa Remix ಠ_ಠ" so I immediately feel like I want to see this become real, just for the purpose of the Meme. Now it doesn't seem like people are really interested in it, possibly because nobody thought of it but guess the idea is now conceived so you're welcome? I guess?

    Having trouble rebinding keys

    Posted: 09 May 2020 11:41 AM PDT

I keep getting the prompt, "Multiple command have been assigned to the same button. Pleas set a different button for each command." I've checked and there's no conflicting keys. I even reset to default and I'm still getting this message. It's keeping me from rebinding my keys. No one else seems to have the same issue.

Weirdly enough, this only applies to the keybinds in the PC options. The controller keybinds function normally.

Edit: it appears to be linked to my own save file. I started a new save and turned off cloud synchronization, and I can remap the buttons normally.

Final (?) Edit: Fixed it! it was a problem with the COOP trainer (everyone knows the one) custom button mapping for Vergil. Following DanteSSS333's instructions by resetting Vergil's mapping fixed the problem.
