    Finished DMC 5

    Posted: 12 Apr 2020 06:56 PM PDT

So i just finished the game.. what a ride, do you guys think Dante and Vergil are finally brothers and on the same page?
And also, is it really the end for both of them? or do you think they might be in a DMC 6 trying to get out of hell?

    DMC3 Gunslinger Style Rapid Shots

    Posted: 12 Apr 2020 09:34 AM PDT

I wanted to ask if anyone else finds it hard to tell the difference between Normal Shots and Rapid Shots for E&I and the Shotgun. The in-game Gunslinger file says to just "repeatedly press X (the shoot button) to fire rounds in a shorter amount of time". I assume the Rapid Shots are only accessible when Gunslinger Style is active since the description is under the Gunslinger file and not the weapons themselves. I've tried to "repeatedly press the x button" with and without Gunslinger equipped but fail to see the difference. Could anyone shed light on either my misunderstanding or the reason why it's not working? Thanks!

    Anime Episode

    Posted: 12 Apr 2020 06:00 AM PDT

Hello Guys, If you have watched the Dmc Anime, I have a question for you. There was one episode where that blonde guy tried to get Cindy (from the bar). Later he followed Dante to a club until to the ladies rest room and saw how Dante took a girl with him and shot her. We never saw her corpse or blood, so what do you think has Dante done with her body?

    DMC Videos

    Posted: 12 Apr 2020 08:47 AM PDT

    Hey guys,

I have a lot of cool captured DMC 5 moments/kills on my PS4 and I want to compile them together into a video. What would be the best way to go outabout doing that on my PS4. Also, what's the best video editing software to use for DMC 5 videos.

    DMC lore questions.

    Posted: 12 Apr 2020 06:25 AM PDT

After playing all 5 games i still have some questions i couldn't figure out by myself.

    • In Dmc 3, Dante awakens his DT getting stabbed with rebellion but we never see how Vergil did, how did he awaken his DT?
    • In Dmc 5, Dante also awakens his SDT stabbing himself with Rebellion and fusing it with Sparda, but do we ever know how Vergil gets his SDT as well?
    • Why did Dante use force edge in DMC 1 if it's power depended on the amulet and he had rebellion already? Also, why did Sparda give rebellion without it's power to dante? wasn't yamato on full power when he gave it to Vergil?

    • How did Nero get his Devil Bringer arm in DMC 4 ?

Update on DmC now that I've beat the game

    Posted: 12 Apr 2020 01:13 PM PDT

That was a decent game. Not exactly groundbreaking but definitely above average.

My main issue is the control scheme. Like I have spent countless hours using the regular DMC control scheme and become accustomed to it and then the DmC one just flips it on its head whilst using the same moves. It feels really awkward to use as someone who played the original games a lot. Even repeatedly playing early missions didnt help me fully adjust to it.

I also didnt like the stiff platforming mechanics. Like in those sequences where you have to hook something you have to be completely still to hook it or else it wont let you. If I jump towards something off ledge and hook it it wont let me and I fall and die. Takes all the fun out of it. The concept of falling also sucks. In fights with small platforms I have to walk on eggshells to not fall whereas in the OG DMC games I didn't have to worry about that and could focus all my mental power into the fight itself.

The colour coded enemies also suck. Even in the definitive edition(the one I played) where I could hit them with any weapon it still felt like I was handicapping myself by not using the colour appropriate weapon since I dealt less damage and didn't stagger. Sucks all the fun out of the game forcing me to use one weapon on an opponent.

Other than that the gameplay was solid and the variety with all the different weapons and moves were great. Having two whips is really cool. Playing as DmC Dante feels like DMC3 Dante and DMC4 Nero in one package.

The story was alright. Less cringe than mainline games and Dante is a great main protagonist. I don't see how he is a "douche" like everyone makes him out to be. He seems a lot more down to earth than other DMC characters and has some good one liners. Mundus was also an improvement compared to the original which is just generic big scary demon overlord 999938109809. Vergil was kind of a bitch compared to the original though.

Theres really not much to say that i've mentioned in the previous post I made about the game. The soundtrack as usual is solid and the visuals have aged fairly well.

If I had to rank it with mainline DMC games, i'd say:

    DMC5 > DMC3 >> DMC4 > DmC >>> DMC1 > DMC2

How hard is the platin trophy for DMC 4 and 5?

    Posted: 12 Apr 2020 02:57 AM PDT

Hey, I wanted to get all 5 dmc games platin trophys and finished dmc2 a couple weeks ago. But is saw dmc 4 and 5 have the same trophy where you must play every mission on nearly every difficulty at an S rank. Did anyone here try the platin or finished it and can say me how hard or annoying it rly is and maybe how long it took you?
