Devil May Cry Nice toothpick bro. |
- Nice toothpick bro.
- Pass it, Nero
- Devil May Cry movie casting
- Already loved 5's ending but after looking at it more closely it might be my favorite part of the franchise
- This is so satisfying. GabrielDME is a monster when it comes to speed running this game. I can't believe I topped his time, this is what speed running is all about. Devil May Cry 3 is the best.
- A review of DMC3 from someone who has just finished it on normal mode
- Anakin vs Obi wan but it's Bury the Light (Star Wars x DMC5)
- One of the most difficult challenges you can do in DMC1: Fighting two Frosts with only Force Edge (excuse the terrible framerate). This took me over 5 hours of attempts.

Posted: 16 Nov 2021 04:16 PM PST So I never thought of this before but I love how much Dante and Vergil's farewell to Nero says about Vergil's character at this point in time. Vergil initially refuses to admit defeat, in a throwback to Nero in the prologue at that, then tries to pass it off as the Qlipoth situation forcing him to postpone the battle. He does this while Dante is present. However after Dante leaves, Vergil admits defeat. "I won't lose next time. Hold onto that until then" is the closest to admitting defeat as that man can likely get. Hilariously his pride wouldn't let him say it in front of Dante. But on top of that it also shows that he acknowledges and respects Nero's strength. After Nero was shouting about it during the fight and dealing with thinking Dante sees him as weak and helpless the whole game, Vergil of all people gives him the validation that he does have all the power he needs. Not just that, but he now sees Nero as a rival worth a rematch just like Dante. Vergil barely respects Dante but he respects Nero, which is a far cry from how both Dante and Urizen were treating him the whole game. Nero was trying to get Dante's respect, not knowing he already had it but he ended up getting Vergil's too. Vergil swallows his pride, shows genuine respect to his son and affirms that Nero isn't weak. He's got a lot of making up to do but damn did he make a strong start towards earning that #1 Dad mug in a single scene. While still being too embarrassed to let Dante see any of it, showing him to be just as big a dork as his brother. It's Vergil to a T but it also reflects how much the events of 5 have changed him. I can't think of a better way for the drama between the three to play out in the end. Perfectly captures the wholesome vibes the series has beneath all the wacky woohoo yeehaw motivation. A review of DMC3 from someone who has just finished it on normal mode Posted: 16 Nov 2021 07:28 PM PST Let me just say, first of all, this game is hard. I was expecting a challenge, but I got way more than I bargained for. Normal is basically disguised as hard mode in this game. But the thing is I loved almost every second of this game, which is coming from someone who is massively burnt out on gaming right now. Dante in this game, at least to me, is a really cool character with his carefree attitude and badassery, but you can really see his character change throughout the story. All the other characters range from alright to pretty great, so there isn't much to complain about in that area. For a ps2 game as well, this game also looks absolutely great. It also controls very fluidly, and when a game removes that barrier of controller and a monitor to fully deepen yourself in the mechanics of a game, you know the gameplay is top notch. The weapons have awesome designs and are fun to use, I swear I had fun just messing around with Nevan for 10 minutes and doing the guitar riffs. The bosses are pretty good but also very challenging, and gratifying to beat. The music is excellent and makes you want to find enemies to fight. I did rage a lot though, since this game is incredibly challenging and it asks a lot of the player. The story is also really good, surprisingly good. You can see how most characters are believably driven by their goals and you can sense the rivalry between Dante and Vergil, especially during the third fight with him. Overall, I think this game is a masterclass in good design, giving you opportunities to test yourself and to display your new abilities and weapons, and is an experience that really shouldn't be missed. It made me think deeply about gaming as well, and I think this is just an excellent game. Go play it if you haven't. [link] [comments] | ||
