What type of Katana is Yamato? The wiki says its a katana but the length is clearly more than a standard katana, I was thinking about an O-Katana or a Nodachi. What do y’all think?

Opinions on a DMC 2 Remake?

    Posted: 08 Nov 2021 02:25 PM PST

Now when I say remake, I mean a COMPLETE overhaul. Essentially changing everything except the faintest skeleton of the dmc 2 story.

Given that DMC 5 acknowledges it as canon (barely), it seems like quite an open-ended time period that can be re-written to ret con parts of the old game, as well as properly lay the groundwork for DMC 4.

Every time I play DMC 2 I just think it's such wasted potential. There are things about it that I think are absolutely wonderful ideas such as the customizable devil trigger. I would love to see a DMC 2 remake on the current engine for PS5 that fixes the underlying issues with the original. Give us a proper Dante, a reworked story, harder bosses, and a beautiful dilapidated city and I think it would not only be a lot of fun but a great way to fix a blemish in an otherwise amazing series.

I'm curious as to what everyone's opinion on this will be. It most likely will never happen, but it's fun to dream.

If there's ever a Vergil/Mundus reencounter, I feel these would be Vergil's last words before sheathing Yamato and judgement cutting Mundus a few new assholes

Playing V on bloody palace is fun.

He's slow on the DMD level, but as long as you speedrun the early, to mid-levels, you'll have like 1 hour. My favorite boss on him is Urizens, because sitting, and standing Urizen is hard because he throws so much magic, Haven't hit final Urizen, but i'd rather take final Urizen with V, than dante; least favorite boss is king Cerberus, because he is terrifying with all his moves dealing a one-shot on all familiars.
