    Vergil sprite transformation v2-resized, centered and apparently fixed whatever cut the animation in half on the first attempt

    Found some FF6 DMC custom sprites last night and tried teaching myself sprite animation. Made a basic animation of Vergil transforming. Sorry about the size, was 40 frames in before I realized my mistake and haven't found an easy way to resize everything yet

    Are Dante and Vergil really stuck in the Underworld in the end of Devil May Cry 5?

    There's a dialogue in one of Nero/Dante/V mode's cutscenes that indicates that Dante and Vergil are stuck in the Underworld:-

    Nero: Wait, where are you going?

    Vergil: We need to sever the Qliphoth roots from the Underworld itself. Then, we'll seal the portal with the Yamato.

    Nero: Hang on, if you do that, you can't come back.

    And then there's another dialogue in one of Vergil mode's cutscenes that also indicates that Dante and Vergil are stuck in the Underworld:-

    Dante: By the way, how'd it feel catching up with your kid?

    Vergil: There's no need for us to "catch up."

    Dante: Well, with an attitude like that, you're never gonna meet your grandkids.

    So if we notice one line from Nero and one line from Dante from those dialogues, those two lines highly indicate that Dante and Vergil are stuck in the Underworld:-

    Nero to Vergil: you can't come back.

    Dante to Vergil:, you're never gonna meet your grandkids.

    Now with all that being said, there's a novel called Devil May Cry 5: Before the Nightmare that explained that how Dante came back in the human world in Devil May Cry 2.

    According to Devil May Cry 5: Before the Nightmare, Balrog was using the shard of Yamato to create large portals between the demon world and the human world, and Dante intuits that the portal he used to escape the demon world was likely the one left behind by Balrog.

    Point to be noted that if a single shard of Yamato could create a portal for Balrog, the fully resurrected Yamato should easily do the same.

    So do you think that Dante and Vergil are really stuck in the Underworld? Or is it that they can come back through the Yamato but got their reasons to not come back?

    Just finished playing my first DMC game, Devil may cry 3 and I was wondering whether there are any good books or novels that go into Dante or Vergil's backstories after their mother dies. Any worth reading?
