    I've always preferred Vergil due to his cocky-ass style, but I've always been jealous of Dante. Dante lost his father, (possibly) watched her mother die, grew up as an orphan, lost his best friend, got rejected by humans for his demon side, got rejected by demons for his human side, and arguabely the worst one, he fought and "killed" his own brother twice. Regardless of all that, he still forges on, eats his pizza, and makes jokes that are actually funny.

    I've been through shit in my life, and that's what makes me jealous of him. He can still keep up the appearance and laugh it off, but I'm just this pessimistic asshole who's constantly yelling at people and wants to be left alone.

    A lot of people shit talk this franchise and claim that it doesn't have a very good story, but when you think about it, the story is deeper than just some wacky pizza man killing demons. Now, I'm not saying all the memes and jokes are bad, and we should treat the franchise very seriously, not at all. I'm just saying it's not as simple as some people make it out to be.

    Sorry to get all mushy on you, but I had to make a Dante-appreciation post.

    For the first time, I played a game from the DMC series. I have been playing for 2 hours now, and idk if it is any good but I came up with this combo. If it isn't a good combo, please remember, I have been playing for 2 hours and don't hate on me please... My purpose was to chain most of my skills.

    So I finished the first devil may cry and thought it was decent considering how old it was and then went on to the second one hearing how bad it was and assumed everyone would be overreacting and it's be one of those things where it isn't that bad but oh god it was so horrible. The story is basically nonexistent and what there is is boring, the gameplay is boring too because the enemies aren't fun to fight and the bosses range from piss easy to piss easy but annoying as hell, and there isn't even any of the charm the first game had with Dante in this game he just feels super serious and boring. Overall the first game was okay and the second one was terrible I've heard the series gets better so I'm hoping the third game makes up for it

    Special Edition vs PS4/PC Versions

    Something I noticed in the Special Edition that I never noticed in the PS4/PC versions -- first off I think it's funny how they advertised the SE version being the best possible way to play the game with frame-rate options and faster loading times and just an all around a better experience -- but what I notice on the SE version that I didn't see on the previous versions was how the framerate TANKS when Qliphoth vines dissolve, like in mission 13 for example. Oh you'll get your framerates! You'll get your LDK! It'll be fast-paced! But when qlipoth dissolves? Nah....

    Anyone else notice that on the SE version? I'm not running the game in high-framerate mode (My TV only does 60Hz) and I don't run ray-tracing on the game.

    Who Killed Eva?

    I know that te attack was ordered by Mundus, but I'm talking about the demon that did the deed, the one who cut Eva down. Did Mundus do it personally, or was it one of his demons? Because if it wasn't Mundus, can you imagine the encounter between this demon and the sons of Sparda? Just imagine Vergil's face as this cocky-ass demon tells him how he killed Eva.

    Most likely, Mundus did it himself just to make sure that he is the one who sticks it to Sparda.

    If this is mentioned in one of the first two games, then I'm sorry for being an idiot. It's been a long times, since I played the first two games.
