Just finished DMC5 for the first time. Posted: What can I say, incredible experience from start.to finish, I'm new to the DMC franchise and yeah I know I kinda screwed myself with starting with 5 but even still I could really feel the game celebrating the legacy right up until the end and what an ending it was. Onto the rest of the franchise! Also that ending banter makes me want a whole game with Nero and Nico. That or a dual adventure with Lady and Trish. [link] [comments]

Posted: As I am playing the whole series after playing and replaying the games I found myself asking if I am a good devil may cry player, and that lead to a bigger one: what makes a good devil may cry player? Because I find that the game is not hard(well maybe on dmd, because you get seriously punished) if you have access to you whole arsenal (getting calibur and combo c on nero is a huge Power spike for me), and in dmd a lot of enemies can be cheesed, bosses included(I did my fair share of chresing while going for the all S trophy in 5), so clearing the game isn't a requirement to be good The point of the game is to be stylish, however it's not hard to get SS and SSS consistently with 2 or 3 combo rotations with each character. Clearing the bloody palace might be a good way to see if players are good but is it fair to classify a player as good only after they succeed in going on an exhausting stylish survival quest will most likely take around 1 and 1/2 hours (if you do it 1st try)? Im genuinely interested in knowing your opinion. BTW donguri is on a league of his own. [link] [comments]

Posted: Hey folks, first time poster (I should be within the self promotion rules based on what I read, if not I'll take this down). Finally managed to a challenge run in the Vergil V Dante fight on DMD, figured I'd post it as I want others to try it and I've not seen it elsewhere on youtube, also please point out if I've messed up anywhere for the challenges and missed it in editing. Copy and pasting the summary from the video since it explains it all; "No damage run of Vergil V Dante, DMD difficulty. Yamato only, no mirage blade (excluding the one summoned by trick). No meter burn of DT or Concentration for Doppel, moves or SDT. No jump, no run/walk (other than movement inputs for attacks/trick, this is janky and I probably moved a little here and there so count it or don't). Basic inputs (i.e. Forward OR back are OK, but back forwards is not, no circles etc.) Not as clean as I would like it since I was a few beers in and I started to get nervous near the end, but hell it was my first successful run. I recommend this challenge to anyone like me who isn't that good at DMC5, when I started attempting it I could only string together maybe 2 non-perfect judgement cuts, but this challenge will help a LOT with your fundamentals. I'd also love to see what someone better than me can do with these restrictions, I didn't even bother trying to parry Dante." Feelin' pretty motivated. The video itself; [link] [comments]

Help Looking for a Nero Quote in-game Posted: So I randomly decided to listen to the complete V/Os of the characters on yt the other day and I heard Nero say "you're all fucked now" and I've never ever heard Nero say that, does anyone know where or when he says this? I've had the damn game since launch and I feel like I'm missing something so obvious and I've tried so many different scenarios to try and find it. Thank you for time [link] [comments]
Which DMC had the best playable Vergil Posted: Skill ceiling, fun, gameplay wise. I guess this is going to be a versus mainly between DMC 5 and 4. So which do you guys prefer? [link] [comments]

So the Pinnacle of Combat beta test is over. How can we give feedback? Posted: My guess for the purpose of a beta test and making people play them is for the developers to get an idea of what to fix and what to keep and whatnot. So I was wondering if there was a way I could give feedback. The game is absolutely amazing but there are a few objective flaws that I think need to be fixed before the final release and I think the developers would appreciate knowing it since I can tell that this game was made with the intention of actually being good, at least combat wise.
