Dante and Vergil swapped greaves & gauntlets Posted: 13 Nov 2020 06:06 PM PST Vergil can charge attacks with Beowulf in DMC5 whereas Dante doesn't have charged punches or kicks with Balrog, which is funny considering that's the exact opposite of how they each used Beowulf in DMC3 [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Nov 2020 04:00 PM PST Overture - An all around starter weapon. Battery is a palm blast that knocks enemies back and can parry and reflect projectiles. Exploder has Nero impale the arm into an enemy before exploding after a short time or when he shoots it. Gerbera - Jocky is also a palm blast, but weaker than Overture's Battery. It can still parry and reflect but it does less damage. In the air, Nero can use the blast to boost himself in any direction. Stamen Ray fires a massive laser on the ground, while Petal Ray fires multiple bouncing lasers in the air. Punch Line - Jet Gadget launches the arm at an enemy, punching multiple times before returning. Nero can also ride on top of it, though this has little practicality in combat. Boost Knuckle has Nero perform an uppercut, launching the arm before exploding. In the air, Nero will fire it downwards. Helter Skelter - Drill Rig spins the arm like a drill. This is meant to break enemy guards, but this move is only useful for a few specific enemies. Drill Master causes Nero to fly in an arc while spinning the arm, damaging and launching enemies with him. Tomboy - One Night Stand upgrades Red Queen and Blue Rose. With Red Queen, Nero's attacks deal more damage, but as a downside, he can't lock onto enemies. With Blue Rose, Nero can fire highly powerful shots, but the view changes to over his shoulder and he can't move. Rendezvous functions pretty much the same, but it makes the arm invincible for a short time before breaking. Buster Arm - Neo Buster and Super Buster have Nero grab an enemy before performing a grapple or throw. The animation differs greatly depending on the enemy, from Nero spinning Goliath around by his tail to stabbing Vergil with his own weapon. Basically, it is the strongest form of the Buster move. The Buster Arm is significantly stronger than Nero's standard Buster (For comparison, Buster deals 600 damage and Devil Buster deals 800, while Neo Buster deals 1,200 and Super Buster deals 12,000.) As a downside, the arm will break after using Super Buster or getting hit. Rawhide - As a passive ability, this arm upgrades Nero's Wire Snatch to pull stronger enemies and deal damage while they are being pulled. Side Winder uncoils the arm and whips it around Nero, dealing damage. Loop the Loop causes Nero to impale an enemy and whip them around before slamming them into the ground. Enemies in the vicinity of the attack are also damaged. Ragtime - Slow Sphere fires a time sphere that lasts for a few seconds before disappearing. Anything caught inside of the sphere, including enemies, projectiles, and even Nero himself, will be slowed down. Slow World, its Break Age, slows down the entire world for a period of time. While everything else is slowed down, Nero moves at normal speed. Mega Buster - While this arm is equipped, Nero's jump will now have Mega Man's jumping pose, and his dodge will utilize Mega Man's slide move. Nero will also appear in a ray of light at the start of a level and explode in orbs of light when killed. Mega Shot fires an energy pellet. While not firing, the arm will charge automatically for a stronger pellet. Mega Charge Shot fires a bigger projectile that hits multiple times and knocks enemies back. Sweet Surrender - Brief Relief slowly heals Nero over time. He can still move around and attack while this is active. Sweet Relief will sacrifice the arm but give a whole three bars of health. Pasta Breaker - Pasta Jet launches the arm, similar to Punch Line's Jet Gadget. The arm will hit multiple times before returning to Nero, but it does little damage. Pasta Mix will have Nero stick the arm into an enemy, like Overture's Exploder. While stuck to an enemy, it hits multiple times before exploding, but still deals little damage. Gerbera GP01 - Similar to Gerbera but with a few differences. On the ground, Jocky will launch Nero upwards. In the air, Nero will boost himself downwards towards the ground. Nero can still boost himself in any direction in the air, and it uses the same Break Age attacks. Monkey Business - To put it simply, it's a model swap of Helter Skelter. It has the exact same moves, but it will give off different effects. [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Nov 2020 04:56 PM PST As you read above anyone who has been playing advanced for 2 (2.5 maybe) years and less is welcome, the skill demand is not high as long you can jc a bit and have good structure with your combos or freestyle. Also if you'd just like to learn along with us without entering, you still can hop in the discord. For those that are not familiar with collabs they are about gathering clips from individual players and compiling them all in a video, the collab will be a Combat MAD which serves for both the freestyle and combo world. Posted: 13 Nov 2020 04:19 PM PST Personally it's my one of my favourite songs in the series, probably because DMC4 was the first game for me and it fits the atmosphere of Fortuna so well. [link] [comments]
If Trish and Lady were playable DLC characters in DMC5 Posted: 13 Nov 2020 02:13 PM PST I have a speculation on Trish and Lady being DLC characters for DMC5: SE in the near future. Since Sparda became Devil Sword Dante, Likely that Trish will wield Alastor as a substitute for Sparda. Plus Alastor fits Trish's playstyle and gameplay element. For her moveset, same from DMC4 SE but instead of Round Trip, it'll be her own variant of Drive or Nevan moves. For Lady, since Dante already got both Kalina Anns, I think she'll get Kalina Ann 3 as her new default weapon. Her Movesets will be the same as in DMC4: SE And for a special unlock, maybe just maybe a playable Lucia. [link] [comments]

Which game do you guys think is the best? Posted: 13 Nov 2020 12:01 PM PST I'm interested to know which one you all prefer. Personally, I think I like 3 the most but 5 is also very close. [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Nov 2020 01:58 PM PST Vergil alone is worth the 5 and Dante boss is the cherry on top for sure. But I saw someone the other day say "IT'S FIVE DOLLARS BECAUSE IT SHOULD BE. I WOULDN'T SPEND A PENNY MORE." Okay? Nobody is asking you to lmao. Wtf. A few people really have some screws loose for real. Some people have 0 chill. 5 bucks is a fucking steal. I'm surprised anyone still has problems with it. The new cutscenes do look like ass that's for sure. Not gonna disagree with that. But it's obvious they had almost no budget left. Before I was worried that this could be lackluster but now that I see Beowulf and Force Edge (I was worried it was only Yamato) and a boss that we couldn't fight before, I'm certain they stretched out the budget as much as they could. I have faith in Itsuno san. Who wouldn't at this point? On top of that, some people will complain about 5 bucks for this and spend 15 at Taco Bell. [link] [comments] |
