    Can a new fan play DMC 5 before the other games?

    On eBay there was a deal on a copy of DMC 5 that I just couldn't pass up, it was the lowest price I had seen on a complete copy of the game so I bought it. I have the first one on PS2 but the disc doesn't work so I haven't gotten to play it yet, and I've been doing my best to avoid any spoilers although I've gotten a little bit of 3 and 5 spoiled but not too much I don't think.

    So would 5 be a good first exposure to the series for me? Or should I wait until I've played the previous 4 games?

    Sin Devil Trigger straight up uses demonic power. Like shooting demonic energy blasts/lazers from his palms/wings. Like it shows he has finally come to terms with his demon heritage. I think at the end of 5, Vergil came to terms with his humanity after his experience as V, and Dante came to terms with his Demon half, and isnt afraid to rely on it anymore.

    What I mean by this is Vergil has always been the brother to use demonic power moreso in fights. He doesnt use guns for ranged attacks, he uses swords made from his own demon energy. His powerful moves have always relied more on his demon energy, while Dantes more on his tools. Even in his DT, he has always preferred to use his DT to boost certain attacks with his Devil arms, I guess he channels his own demon power into the weapon to make certain attacks stronger? IDK how this works xD. To see Dante finally let loose and use his demon power for attacks in that form is awesome.

    I know its supposed to be an homage to his majin form, which was also cool, but that was a one time thing. Now he has the ability to use it basically whenever he wants. The summon swords as well is his own demon power, being that DSD is literally a part of his body lol. I like how he uses the SS different from Vergil. He uses them to supplement his own weapons, while still using his guns mainly for ranged attacks, something id expect of Dante.

    I just think its awesome that Dante gets to use both now. Sure he still has his own unique combat style where he relies on his Devil arms and guns, but now isnt afraid to use his demon powers either.
