    Rock sub genres for others' battle OSTs?

    This is a bit of a layered and long-winded post, but TL;DR: What rock subgenres would you like to see implemented in battle OSTs for prospective new/returning playable characters? Are there any artists or groups in mind that have a similar sound to what you have in mind?

    Since the DMC3 resurrected the series with a bang, Devil May Cry has had a bit of a long-standing relationship with rock, specifically heavy metal.

    To pull from a comment I made in another thread a while back: rock itself is such a wide genre with its countless subgenres, and I don't mind the expansion DMCV brought and wouldn't mind seeing more rock variety to better reflect individual characters to keep everyone from feeling same-y.

    Dante is the classic man, and they definitely should've bring Shootie HG back for DMCV. That said, I wouldn't mind some Power Metal for S rank.

    Nero as a punk guy flies the industrial fan, which I'm okay with. The only question I have is whether or not the Edwardses will come back.

    While V being the very goth, witch-y and mysterious fellow paired very well with what we got with Crimson Cloud, I even more fervently believe we need symphonic rock for Vergil.

    While the three Sparda bois are pretty established in their personalities and tastes, what about our gurls though? What subgenres would best reflect their their styles?

    Hard Rock? Garage Rock? Jazz fusion? Alternative? Pop Rock? Progressive? Folk Rock? Grunge?

    Story continuity

    So, I've been playing the DMC HD Collection, and I just started the 3, can you guys tell what is the "continuity" of the story? Inthe beginning they say Dante became aware of Vergil one year prior, so does this mean this game takes place one year after the first? If so, when does 2 take place?

    DMC5 wishlist on weapons for Vergil when playable again?

    If Vergil becomes playable again in DMC5 for a Special Edition, there are some weapons I wish he took up.

    1. Yamato: his signature sword for a samurai motif. Yet there's some bits of his old Force Edge added on.
    2. Beowulf upgrade or new gauntlets & greaves: Since Dante uses Balrog in the styles of western fighting arts - boxing & capoeira, I go for an eastern route on Vergil. Karate & Kung Fu - maybe taichiquan or wing chun.
    3. Polearm: Since Vergil no longer has Force Edge as its now a part of Dante's new sword, give Vergil a polearm weapon like a spear, halberd or naginata.
    4. Violin: Dante once wielded Nevan as a guitar. Since V's taunts in the violin form, Vergil could use a violin-like weapon to summon demons to assist him. Even using the violin's bo in a way like V's cane to strike demons in the final blow.

    Hello. Ive read here recently that there is a mod to quicken the charge of Quadruple S (the quick SSS Sin-Devil trigger) and I wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction.

    Difficulty curve in games

    I started playing the devil may cry games and was wondering if the difficulty curve is more gradual in the other games, I'm on the first one right now which right off the bat is giving me trouble, I know the second is just infinite shoot and you win. Mainly I'm wondering about 3-5
