    Just an observation - In mission 17 of DMC1 the hieroglyphs on the floor look somewhat similar to the glyphs that get formed during SDT judgment.

    Played and loved the first one, at least a decade ago, and haven't touched any of them since.

    Heard a lot of good things about 5 and the $20 price point (Steam) ain't bad. Only reason I'm reluctant to jump on it is because it seems I've acquired 3 and 4 in bundles or something over the past few years.

    Two questions: 1. Would jumping in at 5 without the backstory leave me totally lost? Or would it even matter? 2. Would playing 5 "ruin" going back and playing the two before it?

    Idk who the localization team is for DMC 3 - 5 but they've been killing it with the dialogue. Especially with DMC 5. It's the most natural its ever been and this is just a wacky japanese action game! They dont need to go through all that effort. The story is actually very enjoyable. It was a smart decision to turn the series into a character driven one compared to something like Bayonetta's "plot" driven narrative. So glad to see the series back on track after 11 years.

    Elder Geryon Knight is under utilized imo

    It's a pretty good V fight, possibly my favourite boss with him, but V has limited options in fighting him. It should really be a part of BP if nothing else, Dante deserves to be reunited with his equine friend.
