Vergil mod is very janky, but modders getting this far in itself is impressive.

Finally, after 2 weeks of on and off trials, I managed to beat it with Nero, ended up learning how to JC'ing even though I didn't plan to at first, it just comes naturally.

Arkham vs Mundus - Who would win

    Posted: 15 Mar 2020 05:31 PM PDT

If Arkham would have got the power of Sparda like he got in DMC3 and if he would never encountered Dante and/or Vergil but Mundus instead, would he be able to beat Mundus? He pretty much seemed to be stronger than Dante in that one cutscene when Vergil showed up. He probably would have grabbed Dante and crushed him if Vergil wouldn't have cut his hand of. So who do you think would win and why?

First time DMC player, making my way through series.

    Posted: 15 Mar 2020 02:17 PM PDT

Roughly a month ago I saw some gameplay on DMC5 and I really wanted to play it. I looked up if you HAVE to play the rest of the series and the general consensus was that it was recommended. So I started working my way through the games and I just beat DMC4. I'm gonna take a day or 2 before I start DMC5, but just wanted to come to this subreddit to share my feeling on my first playthrough.

DMC: I adored this. The atmosphere was fantastic, the music (totally shortly removed from the 90s), the gameplay - goodness this was revolutionary. It felt like an inspiration for dark souls, pretty decent difficulty & the orbs really reminded me of From Software currency/ranking up. Ex. Sekiro: red orbs / coins, Purple Orb / Spirit Emblems (Special abilities Devil Trigger & Prosthetics) Blue orbs / prayer beads. What I liked the most was honestly the stress of a boss at the end of a mission "alright if I die here, I have to do it all over", it made victory so much more rewarding. This was a great game.

DMC2: This was the worst game I've ever beaten. It was fucking AWFUL. I knew going into it that it was considered the weakest game in the series, but holy hell. I have nothing good to say about this and if I wasn't trying to be a completionist, if this was a stand-alone game, I would have put it down within 10 minutes. I mean, that helicopter boss was one if not the worst experience I've ever had playing video games, ever. You fucking mash square like a freaking thousand times?! I'm getting triggered thinking about it. I was VERY glad to advance to DMC3.

DMC3: I don't know if I like the 1st more or this one. Gameplay wise, I like 3 more than 1. However, atmosphere/ambience I like 1 more. Plus I feel like Dante's personality was perfect in 1. Had the personality of a dead fish in 2.... in 3, he was just a bit TOO cocky in 3. But gameplay wise it only improved from 1. Plus, I truly applaud the final Vergil fight, that was pretty freaking tough.

DMC4: I don't really feel like there is anything wrong with this game, I really liked it. Plus the progression of graphics arriving here was pretty cool. My only complaints are 1. Nero is a little TOO OP, 2. I have this issue with the other games too, having to replay the same bosses multiple times, but in this you have to fight pretty much every boss 3 freaking times?! (Mission 19 was ridiculous), 3. The trophies are over the top difficult / tedious. 1-3 I've gotten 25-40% of the trophies in 1 play through. I beat DMC4, I beat the game, and I have 7% of the trophies, goodness if any of y'all have platinum on this, good for you.

Overall, with the exception of DMC2, this is a phenomenal series and I'm very glad I didn't just jump straight into DMC5, it's gonna feel good knowing I got there the right way. If anyone has any insight or advice for DMC5 before I get started to end this journey (spoiler free of course), please share. If you're here at the end, well, thanks for reading!

If Nero regrew his arm can Vergil & Dante do it too ?

    Posted: 15 Mar 2020 01:14 PM PDT

I want it to be clarified if both Vergil and Dante's healing factors can regrow limbs or was it just something unique to Nero. It wouldn't be unusual for Nero's healing factor to be stronger then his father and uncle since Nero is a second generation Sparda-descendant and its expected of children to surpass their parents.

Or was Nero's regenerated arm a sort of miracle and not something he could do again if he tried. The basic analogy being that he leveled up when awakening his Devil transformation and as such level up cures all status effects and brings the palyer back to full health.

    My own DMC ranking

    Posted: 15 Mar 2020 06:13 PM PDT

Thought I'd finally throw my hat in the ring after finally beating all the games. Hope I don't get roasted too bad lol 6. DMC 2 ,5. DmC, 4. DMC, 3. DMC 4 ,2. DMC 5, 1. DMC 3 Let me just say, everything 5 up I actually enjoy a lot more than it may seem. The game I actually dislike is just 2.
