    Even tho i loved this game enough to buy it on 2 different consoles, i have to say im dissapointed with the ending.

    I didn't even dislike it, i actually think the story was really great overall, but once Vergil returns, i feel like the story just went off-rails. Now it's all about Dante and Vergil settling their score, the fact that Vergil killed thousands if not millions of humans as Urizen is irrelevant, and there's not a "humanity vs power" message anymore, it's all about the brothers having to kill each other.

    The only development we get after that is V's familiars sacrificing themselves to free Vergil from his Nero Angelo's memories, which was honestly a really sweet moment, and Nero deciding to protect his loved ones and unlocking his Devil Trigger, but that whole thing happened so fast and so last minute that it's only relevancy was the fact that now Nero can defeat Vergil.

    I was honestly just expecing more from the story. I don't even really feel like it was bad, just that it could've gone for another 5 missions or so (and i was geniunely believing that would be the case, considering i was almost 10 hours into the game and Nero still didn't have his Devil Trigger), just so that the story could have a proper ending besides "Ok, my son defeated me, now i don't want to fight Dante anymore and we can all go home, it's good".

    I really loved this game, and i think the story is amazing up until V merges with Urizen. I simply can't help but feel like the game could've had a better ending.

    I'm kind of new to the game, so I'm still trying to figure out bosses and combos and other stuff. Today I have decided to complete Mission 20 on Son of Sparda difficulty (furthest I've gotten so far) without any revives, it took like 45 minutes but I think it was well worth it :)

    Fun Fact: Vergil Was Supposed To Be Dead Before DMC3 Came Along

    In DMC1 after playing DMC3, I was confused when Trish said "you lost a mother and a brother 20 years ago." Apparently Kamiya intended Vergil to be dead at 7 years old along with Eva. Itsuno got permission to change that to make DMC3. Dante was to be "The Son Of Sparda" as Vergil died a kid. Nelo Angelo was supposed to be Vergil's soul after Mundus captured it from the manor attack, not from DMC3's secret ending. It is pretty interesting to me, that Vergil never really was supposed to exist as a character or rival.
