Devil May Cry In Regards to CODE VEIN & Rule 5 Reminder

Devil May Cry In Regards to CODE VEIN & Rule 5 Reminder

In Regards to CODE VEIN & Rule 5 Reminder

    Posted: 06 Oct 2019 01:01 PM PDT

    Greetings.

Recently we've been seeing more and more rule breaks in regards to Rule 5 since CODE VEIN came out recently. We want to remind everyone that while it is cool you can create characters that look similar to the cast of Devil May Cry, it is still in violation of Rule 5. We will not be removing the current CODE VEIN posts as they've clearly gained community traction, but from hereon all future CODE VEIN creation posts will be deleted. This also applies to all games with or without character creators.

As a reminder the rule 5 is as follows:

    5. Unrelated Content

Posts must contain elements from or directly related to Devil May Cry, including images and video. The title or text is not enough to make an otherwise unrelated post related, and quotes do not count either. Posts with no relation to the series will be removed.

Unrelated discussions about personal, political or other beliefs should be taken elsewhere.

We've also seen an increase in just text-based posts with no elements of the Devil May Cry series included. As a reminder, when making a meme, please include an element of the Devil May Cry series. (example: Photoshopping Dante's face into something.)

Please keep this in mind when posting and have yourself a wonderful day. As always, we appreciate suggestions and feedback so feel free to chime in if you have anything to add in regards to any of our rules.

DMC5 Artbook Stuff the Game failed to communicate because of time restraints

    Posted: 06 Oct 2019 05:35 PM PDT

Artbook mentions that Dante was pumped full of demonic energy by the Qlipoth because it mistook him for Vergil. Nico's files only mentions that it pumped it full of energy and never explained why.

Artbook also mentions that the statue blocking the way in Mission 12 is actually a statue of Sparda and if take a look at it in-game, its holding an unawakened Rebellion. Whats worth noting is the implications and the possibility that that route was what Dante used to get out of the mansion.

Another thing mentioned is the fact that Mission 16, the one with King Cerberus, is designed to be like the tube leading to the womb. The qlipoth itself is nourishing the fruit and the fruit would be placed in the "womb". The fruit emits intense heat and energy while its being produced which is the reason why King Cerberus was placed there, to cool down the fruit and makes it production more efficient.

The manor being a part of the illusion of the Qlipoth is also because it was from "the memories of the demon king" and it was "the only place he felt at ease".

DMC5 has so much more lore behind it when its backed up by the novel and artbook, and Im glad some people in twitter translated parts of the artbook to explain much of DMC5's lore.

Some of you might be aware of these already but considering there are newer info and the fact that newcomers are coming here in spades, I believe its worth mentioning these again.

    The best community ever

    Posted: 06 Oct 2019 10:47 AM PDT

I never knew I would enjoy joining this community, I will never be tired seeing shitpost in this server I wish it continues until DMC6 and beyond all shitpost are very creative and unique on their own not to mention how friendly and welcoming the users are in the sub, I forgot to mention how great the moderation of this sub compared to other servers that I've joined I think that they are very competent towards the series and its content probably the best mods that reddit can offer to its users.

I know all of you are very good at the game as I am just a casual who plays on Human difficulty, I cant perform directional inputs I maybe having a hard time grasping these mechanics I sure will not ever but seeing all your content amaze me how skilled everyone is in this game are, specially that clip where a Character grabbed a spear and threw it back at the boss was amazing I have no idea you could do that.

I just want to share my experience with the game with you guys as I'm not very good at the game, Also recently i found out that you can perform this combo called combo A by pressing melee three times thats amazing also i didn't know that you were supposed to hold lockon and then when you do a character brings up a gun that allows you to shoot enemies i've always wondered why there is a gun but i cant use it now i know.

Just in case no one knows how to dodge in this game i've also found out this trick where you hold lockon then move left/right and press jump it makes the character roll instead of a jump it's a bit complex at first it takes skill to perform the move, compared to others ive played where a single button press lets you dodge but here it does take a lot practice and patience. Thats all I hope it helps you guys , I know you are all good at the game but just in case I just want to help out the community to spread certain techniques that I found in game thank you.

    qliphoth tree

    Posted: 06 Oct 2019 06:38 PM PDT

In Devil may cry 5 after the last mission, Dante and Vergil cut down the qliphoth tree and close the entrance to the human world but in the files, it said that the tree was the source of demonic power. So since it's the source of demonic power, would newer demons never access DT or would Demons lose Demonic power all together?

    SDT forms especially Dante's

    Posted: 06 Oct 2019 02:23 PM PDT

I think the more that i play in the SDT form the more I realize that I find it's really cool, such as the different ways that Dante abilities are transferred into that form, especially his Psuedo-doppleganger teleport and his side step. I honestly love it. I also realize that Dante's Air raid in SDT has the same start up as Vergil's Air raid,I think that there were was some cut moves from SDT as Dante's moves feel lackluster. hopefully if there is another game Dante's move will be expended. Looking to play as Vergil's SDT form.
