Nice bit of foreshadowing about V's and Urizen's connection with Dante's eye-shots. Just before he goes into coma and returns back, Dante sees the demon and human halves of Vergil.

The source of power in the Devil may cry universe

    Posted: 05 Oct 2019 07:19 PM PDT

Note: this is a fan theory on the lore of Devil May Cry and shouldn't be taken seriously, just a topic for discussion. And if this is actually canonical pardon my lack of attention on the story .

The conjuction of demonic and human blood is what can give a being strenght. This would explain why Vergil made that bloodbath to acquire the devil fruit and why Sparda's kin is more powerful than any other demon or human. And it would explain why the Divinity statue gives amazing abilities to the characters in exchange of demonic and human blood, as well as giving more powerful abilities to the three Sparda bois, as they have both types of blood flowing through their veins, and why other people like Lady gain abilities as they collect red orbs through their journey by sacrificing the orbs and a little bit of their human blood. Also it would give more meaning to the speech Dante gave to Agnus about humans, giving a more concrete background to why humans are so important and powerful, as well as explaining why demons are so obsessed with ruling the human world.

Fighting BP Vergil with V feels nearly impossible (rant)

    Posted: 05 Oct 2019 03:32 PM PDT

I've Beaten the palace with the super characters and managed to beat all bosses in the warm up menu without super characters. But V has the hardest time against Vergil to me. Im too quick on dodging to get DT back from his attacks and whenever I try and pull out the book is when Vergil draws his attention to me. Oh and don't even got me started on the animals auto repositioning, it infuriates me because it creates more time between attacks and it's hard to open Vergil up. Yes I know beating Vergil is possible with V, I've seen 2 videos of people doing it, but I can get him down to 1/10 of his life and then I'm out of DT and Vergil Simmons his doppelgänger, my summons get whipped right away and the camera only adds to the frustration, sometimes I wanna side dodge but I do a back dodge instead. I've learned to use nightmare sparingly but I don't have a way of gaining more because my summons die quickly. And the auto re-positioning is only made worse by the fact the Vergil moves all over the place and is only still when attacking.

For a second playthrough of DmC: DMC, which is more recommended, modifiers, or a higher difficulty?

    Posted: 05 Oct 2019 07:19 PM PDT

Earlier this year, I finally managed to enjoy playing a Devil May Cry game with the reboot. (which probably means I am a horrible person and have no right to have opinions, given how I've seen people talk about it.) But knowing how much people say you should play these games multiple times, I'm wondering whether it would be better to replay the game on Nephilim difficulty with some of the modifiers like turbo mode and such, or to go for a higher base difficulty?

I finally finished my DMC3:SE Vergil save!

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 09:54 PM PDT

I finally finished my DMC3:SE Vergil save!

M18 took a little under 16 hours by itself, the rest of the missions generally took around 1-2 hours with a few of them going upwards of 3 hours in total.

I never thought I would be able to complete this game with a full clear of rankings. It was such a ride from beginning to end; I laughed, I cried, I felt the pits of despair. But I came out the other end as a changed player. I couldn't just keep this to myself so I had to share it with all of you guys. I plan on posting videos of all the successful SS runs later, but I wanted to post it now. If any of you guys have any questions about the run, feel free to ask and I'll be happy to answer!

P.S. Before you ask, the hardest fight in the game is the Spider fight at the end of Mission 10. I understand that the gimmick of the Damned Chessboard might seem harder to most folks, but the Spider Fight was the only point I contemplated quitting.

    Playlist of SS runs here:

Note: Runs are scheduled for upload over the next 10 days, so those of you interested in the runs, please be patient as they become public.

    Nico's voice

    Posted: 05 Oct 2019 03:43 PM PDT

I don't know if I'm the only one who feels this way but, I HATE Nico's voice and accent. I feel like her voice doesn't match her looks.

When I hear her talk I feel like she is a voice actor, you know what I mean?

The way she talks is very expressive. It's like she is putting too much effort in her vocals. To the point where she doesn't sound like a human. She sounds like a southern pokemon.

Don't get me wrong I like Nico as a character but God I wish I could hear another voice.

Do you like her voice? /Why? /Why not?
