Posted: 04 Oct 2019 04:48 PM PDT I just started reading some Hellboy where he goes to hell and he comes across members of his family. Since Dante and Vergil are in hell too could that mean they could somehow interact with the demonic side of their family as well?. Even though I'm sure they would probably be hated for being the sons of a traitor. I personally would love it if Sparda had a brother/friend, because well.. new playable character and also to explain some things about Sparda's upbringing that would lead to him processing human feelings and sealing away Mundus for his actions against humanity. (This is all assuming if he has a family or tribe to begin with) [link] [comments]

Steam sale dilemma (Im new to the series) Posted: 04 Oct 2019 05:19 PM PDT DMC is on sale rn but the HD collection isn't. If I get DMC collection + DMC 4 it would be $40 but if I just buy DMC3 and 4 it would be $15. I'd only play 1, 3 and 4 since I heard 2 is not allowed to be looked at sooooo any DMC fan is it smart to skip 1 for now or go full in? [link] [comments]
Any tips for perfect guarding Vergil’s judgement cut chain? Posted: 04 Oct 2019 03:52 PM PDT I can perfect block the first but I'm having trouble doing so with the rest of the chain. I'm considered following the sound pattern and cues from Vergil's sheath to find the timing. [link] [comments]

Edit: just lol at getting down voted in a few minutes for a non controversial discussion post. guess I should just post a lame shitpost or generic screenshot next time since only those get up votes here... [link] [comments]

A little late to the party, but just beat it. Some thoughts. (spoilers) Posted: 04 Oct 2019 11:38 AM PDT I'm about to head into work, but I thought I'd write this stuff down while it's still fresh: The story and everything about this was so much better than 4. 4 wasn't a bad game, but it felt like Dante was on holiday and that it was Nero's game and they just shoe-horned Dante in there to please fans. This time, Dante felt challenged (at times, maybe a little too much, like him feeling Nero's punch (he gets stabbed and shrugs it off, even the strongest punch shouldn't be felt and also should heal fairly quickly.) But it made the characters feel real and feel like they actually had a fight this time around. This was very much everyone's game, and it showed. Lady and Trish did get sidelined, but you probably can't have like five characters in a game like this without it feeling like a bit of a rehash. I wish they'd get away from the insect centered demons. Ifrit and Alastor were very different design wise and I felt like Sparda in the first game was too. I'd like to see a mix of those types and it'd be neat to have something like the Marionettes again. Somehow they still feel like very imposing villains compared to the ants we had this time around. Speaking of, when did they all stop being Devils and get referred to as demons so often? The set designs were lacking, but they were in 4 as well. Most of it was just some goopy grey plant vines. When they did have a new set, it was fairly interesting, and when they had the illusion that Dante and Urizen fought in, it was very pretty. The lighting worked really well, and I'd love to see it used more often. The one thing 4 had over this was that some of the locales were really unique and very pretty looking, and the castle felt very DMCish. The last few acts felt a lot more entertaining than the first few did, and I loved that Dante and Virgil got their respects paid to them. Nero finally felt like a kin of Sparda at this, with him finally regrowing a REAL arm, but also having a unique and powerful devil trigger of his own. Was it supposed to be a Sin Devil Trigger as well? It felt more like the old DT and also something else, and even Virgil seems perplexed by it. That leads into my question: What the hell was up with Nero's arm anyway? It's implied that he didn't have it before DMC 4, and even then it wasn't directly connected to Yamato if I recall. It was later on, but that was some kind of fusion, I thought, or it borrowing yamato's power, which is why removing it in 5 took away Nero's whole arm. So now with that out of the way, he's back to using his original power, but he still has DT an it's something different that even Virgil's never seen? I really hope they don't leave us with another 11 years of questions. Overall I enjoyed the game a lot more than 4. I don't know if I could consider it up with Bayonetta level combat, but it was close enough that I had a lot of fun playing it and felt like it was the sequel to 1 and 3 that we deserved. With both of the SOS lost in the Underworld, I hope that 6 comes out soon and that it'll keep them in the story, while still having more to be done down there. V was definitely an interesting character to play, and I'd love to see them take his design to remake a Chaos Legion game some day. [link] [comments]

so what song sums up the series? Posted: 04 Oct 2019 01:13 PM PDT honestly a lot of people will be going with devils never cry and you know what, at first i thought so since it encompasses a lot of the themes in the series, but i found it works best in regards to the story. Having it for combat esp after changing it in dmc5 just felt off. Like awesome, but not fitting lock and load imo just sums it all up, it just feels like its meant to be stylish and badass all the while killing demon scum, and yknow what it just vibes with everything else in the long run [link] [comments] |
