    Sort of a background thought I've had in regards to the next game for a while.

    Alastor was always my favourite weapon from the first game, it's cool, it's flashy, it's bathed in electricity and the hilt is a literal dragon eating/vomiting the blade. (Whichever you prefer)

    But currently, as far as I'm aware, it's hanging on dantes wall at the back of the shop in lieu of rebellion/devil sword dante

    Here's the thing.

    In every expansion that's brought in a playable vergil, whether it be 3,4 or 5. One of his weapons is always the Force Edge + Yamato combo, but in 5, it was a spectral version as the original sword had been subsumed into Sparda and furthermore Devil Sword Dante so having it in the flesh didn't make sense chronologically.

    Now, if we assume, and this is pure assumption, that the next game may have vergil as a playable protagonist. Since he and Dante seemed to somewhat resolve the whole mortal sibling rivalry thing, it would make more sense (And be pretty fuckin cool) if Dante gave Vergil Alastor as a peace offering/gift.

    This would mean instead of a spectral force edge, which I don't really like personally as a concept. He would have one of the coolest weapons in the series that's been largely forgotten! Plus, as a bonus, the whole electricity imbued attacks really would fit with Vergils already established vibe and style.

    What do you think? It's all speculation and wishful thinking obviously, but I thought it was a cool idea!

    i was playing dmc4 and i noticed something interesting

    In a cutscene dante is talking with trish and lady while eating pizza but the interesting thing is that the song playing in the jukebox is from gintama the anime. Does anyone have an explanation for why gintama's soundtrack made it to dmc?

    Edit: the song that i'm talking about is lady's request and the soundtrack from gintama is madao's theme

    Weird Vergil Sin DT Move Skip

    Sorry for the mess of words, but it's quite literally a move skip. I've noticed that going Sin DT, while in the middle of a beowulf combo, causes you to skip a move sometimes. Instead of doing punch, punch, double kick, finishing kick, Vergil will sometimes do punch, punch, finishing kick. I can't pull it off consistently and it only seems to happen when there's a lot going on in a fight.
