    My Dmc 5 edited photos

For those of you who have played all these games fully, what would you place at your number 1? Even though DMC was my first introduction to the Character Action genre, Ninja Gaiden has taken the top spot for me.

Just your average Devil May Cry 5 Appreciation Post :D

    Posted: 24 Oct 2021 01:56 PM PDT

Man, I really thought DMC3 being so great was a one-off after 4 and rebot (still good games but not amazing).

Then 5 came and it is glorious from start to finish. And I believe the characters. It is wacky and silly and extremely over-the-top, but all believable in its own right. Because it never loses focus.

That is my main problem with the reboot. They made those down-to-earth, more 'realistic' characters, but they did not focus them like in 3/5 and even 4 and thus they never quite clicked with me.

From start to finish, I was hooked to DMC5, even though I knew the 'surprise' twist because I spoiled it a while ago.

Yes, the story is silly. And a bit cliché. But it works. It makes sense.
The writers did an excellent job and the voice actors deliver their lines perfectly. The 2 combined make even the most bonkers scenes feel genuine. Even Dante's Dr Faust dance felt so in-character that I just smiled.
The story never loses its focus. It keeps going. It keeps building up to one big plot point after the other without straying into some unnecessary diversion.
Each character is perfectly believable. I do not know how they managed that. But they did and I am happy for it.

Also, Nico is awesome and I want to see more of her in the next game.
Or maybe a spin-off Racing game with the 1000pt plot armor Van fighting against demon hordes while racing across the streets

I love this game. I need to find a cool framed picture somewhere...

    Bloody Palace Meta Theory.

    Posted: 24 Oct 2021 05:36 PM PDT

So I know Bloody Palace is just a challenge gauntlet, but is it possible that the 99+ floors represent something more. While playing DMC5 Bloody Palace I started to pay attention to the backgrounds. For each floor set the background tends to get harsher and darker as you progress. It is possible that this mode represents the characters fighting through hell for their own individual reasons? For example, Dante ends with the Summoned Swords taunt. Easy to brush this off but it's also saying Vergil lacked love and compassion, Dante fought through hell to show him that. Nero defeats Vergil and proclaiming he is the one with power. It is almost like saying he got his vengeance and proved his might, which is reflected in his gameplay. Then there's V absorbing Vergil, "becoming whole". And lastly Vergil fighting himself or his negativity or his inferiority complex. Deep stuff. Maybe I'm just reading into it too much. Maybe I'm just an avid fan. Maybe it's just some good ass ludonarrative.

P.S. Excuse the typos, I was extremely motivated. 😈

the future of dante, vergil and nero

    Posted: 24 Oct 2021 08:18 PM PDT

since the sin devil trigger is said to be the true form of dante/vergil and in the future maybe nero will have a similar transformation, what do you think will happen to their human form? they seem to keep getting older but i don't believe they will die of old age, i imagine they will be stuck in sin devil trigger permanently, i would like to know what you think about it
