    DMC game based on the first novel

    TL;DR I love Dante and would like to have a game or a manga where he could be the protagonist again.

    I would like it if there was a game that could be based on the first DMC novel even though there are contradictions with some things in canon, but what if it could work with some changes? We have things from the first novel being acknowledged in DMC5, so maybe there are ways to change the plot of the novel so it can suit the current canon. So, what I imagined is a game that would take place before DMC3 instead of what was given in the manga that is barely acknowledged…
    I want to mention that I haven't read the whole DMC 1 novel, but I know some things. I think Dante was in his early 20's in the novel (correct me if I am wrong), but to fit with the canon, he would be 17-18 and this DMC game would be a bit different, it would be an action-adventure (hope I'm using the right term), trough this game we would learn more about Dante based on the things from the novel that some do not know because the novel was published a long time ago and also, some don't read novels, so a game based on it would be more accessible.
    I think it would be awesome to see more of Dante's life before he opened his office, to see his interactions with the characters in the novel such as Grue and his family, Enzo and Nell.
    Imagine playing as Dante and doing missions that you can take from Bobby's Cellar, the first fight you have in the game would be "Mad Dog" Denvers like in the beginning of the novel, which could serve as the tutorial.

    Oh yeah, I also thought about the Gilver situation. Like, he's still there to be a servant of Mundus that was made to resemble Vergil, like Mundus could have had minions that could report to him of how the twins look like, I mean some of the demons that might have went after Vergil might have had the ability to change appearances, like Trish, so that's how Gilver could be there, a prototype Angelo.

    Vergil would also appear in the game, at first there would be a scene that would not show his face and would be somewhere watching Dante and could say "You are alive, huh?" and he would reveal himself to Dante at the end of the game, maybe giving the finishing blow to Gilver, then there would be a fight with him and Dante, have a scene where he manages to get Dante's amulet and says that he will take it back another time.

    I would like them to display better reactions upon seeing each other (what happened in the DMC3, they didn't seem surprised to see each other being alive…)

    Towards the end we could have Dante being at his office, with one year having passed and it would be the start of the story in DMC 3.

    So yeah, we got something that showed more about Vergil through Visions of V and I think it would be interesting to have a game or a manga that could show scenes from his life described in the first novel.

    Two places the Yamato can reach

    Hello everyone. I have another question for you all.

    It has been said the Yamato, Vergils weapon has the power to create portals. One to the Underworld, and the power to be anywhere he wants in the DMC universe. My question is: Why not more? Why can't it create portals to alternate realities or universes?

    I admit, I have never read the novels cause money is tight right now, can't really afford them.

    It just makes me imagine this scene below.

    Nero walks up to Vergil and hands him an envelope.

    Vergil: What is this Nero?

    Nero: Oh, that? It's all the taxes and child support you and Dante owe to the IRS for the past 20 years. You for child support, Dante for taxes, pizza and infrastructure damages plus therapy for myself and Kyrie. (Holds up the Yamato) And don't even think about escaping to the Underwold like last time.

    Vergil:...Does this 'IRS' accept Blood Orbs?

    Since Ninja Gaiden Master Collection was revealed instead of DMC4: Special Edition for Switch, I actually saw that it's one of the "hardest series to beat."
