Devil May Cry 5 has the best enemy mechanics since Devil May Cry 1 Posted: 25 Oct 2020 02:15 PM PDT I have been watching the DMC5 enemy guide videos by Broly2012 and Conqvist guides on youtube, and the amount of depth and attention to detail to some of the enemies in Devil May Cry 5 is amazing. You can tell Itsuno really did take time to incorporate all the best aspects from each game, with the first games best aspect in my opinion being the enemy mechanics. There are so many specific ways to weaken the enemies, like in the first game. I know a lot of you know about these mechanics, I just wanted to highlight the attention to detail in the enemies in this game, given that it was the first game was the only other DMC game to have these opportunities for critical attacks. Parrying is incorporated in this game more than any other DMC game. Ever had trouble with Nobodys - here's the solution. Did you know that when you parry the Nobodys, it removes their masks. When you do that three times, getting rid of the 3 masks they use, they start to no longer attack, become afraid of you, and take more damage. You can parry the Behemoth charge, the Pyrobats and Hellbats shooting attack. Parrying a fury is the best way to leave them open to attack. When a Hell Judecca is in the middle of summoning enemies, it leaves them wide open for a parry, and is a great way to leave them open to damage. And of course, you can kill the Death Scissors in one shot, like in the first game after a parry. Almost every enemy melee attack is parryable! When Chaos enemies start to their rolling attack move, shooting them slows them down, enabling you to melee attack them in this state. In their normal state, attacking their spines breaks them, and they take more damage as a result. Sick of running from or shooting an exploding Hellbat? Attacking their backs will extinguish their flames. Also, turns out you can throw an exploding Hellbat into a crowd on enemies when you buster them using Nero. Ever seen enemies in a knocked out state and you don't know why? Been hit by Vergil's summon swords and you were stunned and unable to move? That's because there's a stun mechanic in DMC5 they don't tell you about! Using Blue Rose color up shots, Balrog punch mode, Cerberus lightning attacks, SDT slam attack, and Griffon will help put enemies in a stunned state, giving you the chance to give them some free damage. Stunning higher level enemies like Behemoths and Proto Angelos will let you Buster them as Nero. Using these attacks on furys and Hell Judeccas will stop them from escaping. I also like how enemies have the ability to buff in this game. When you break a Scudo Angelos shield, they have an ability to do an infinite sword attack. Seriously, I tried it out in the void! Proto Angelos can control the Scudo Angelos like in the 4th game. Proto Angelos get buffed when they reach around 30% health. Red Empusas and Empusa Queens become buffed if they drink blood on the floor. I just fucking love DMC5. [link] [comments] | ||

Finally realized what Dante meant in Dmc 1 when he beat Mundus. Posted: 25 Oct 2020 11:15 AM PDT When Mundus tells Dante he'd be back and he'll rule this world and Dante responds with and when you do come back, give your regards to my son will ya. He wasn't saying he had a kid(who some thought that kid was Nero in Dmc 4) but he was saying that simply because his dad had defeated Mundus and sealed him away and then Dante came and did the exact same thing years later so he was making a joke that he'll follow his dad's footsteps and his future son will follow his in sealing Mundus away when he comes back.
