    It took place in a different game, not a DMC one. It was DMC 3 Dante and Lady in a snowy setting with another guy. He is leading the way up some path and a giant snowball boobytrap hits him and he rolls back down the path. Help me pleaseeeeee

    How is DmC: Devil May Cry (Definitive) as it's own game? Is it worth buying sometime?

    I honestly view DmCDE as a whole different entity than DMC, I don't really care how compares to mainline DMC, but rather how it is as a game. Is it good/worth buying with the mindset I have?

    And yes, I know about "f*ck you", "not in a million years", "I've got a bigger d*ck", and the sniper rifle abortion. If the game has good gameplay, that's enough of a selling point to me.

    PS: The games I've played so far are DMC1, DMC3SE, and DMC5 (with Vergil DLC).

    Idea for DMC6

    i don't really follow this subreddit (although i played the games) so i am not sure if someone already made something similar. if there is, please tell me and i will delete this post.

    i only came out of these things when i was taking a shower today, i suddenly thought about DMC5 so they will be quite rough i apologise for that.

    so first the game will be split into two parts like in DMC5, but instead of Nero/V and Dante, we have Nero and Dante/Vergil.

    iirc Dante and Vergil were thrown into the Demon World at the end of DMC5, so this time Dante/Vergil side would be set in the Demon World immediately following the end of DMC5 where the brothers look for a portal to return to the Human World. Dante and Vergil will each go their own way but will cross path here and there.

    on the other hand, Nero's side is set months (or years) after the end of DMC5, where Nero takes over Devil May Cry (the shop) as there isn't anyone else. during that time-skip, Nero was trying to fill Dante's shoes but realised how difficult it is due to the difference in experience between him and Dante, while demonic cults rise despite Nero and other demon hunters' valiant efforts. at the beginning of his side of the game, Nero (and maybe Trish and Lady) accepted a job to investigate a demonic cult.

    while Dante and Vergil are looking for a way out in the Demon World, they eventually meet at a powerful demon's domain and they race against each other to reach the demon to get them to help them back. on Nero's side, as he is fighting his way into the cult and investigating, he soon reaches the site of the summoning ritual of the previously mentioned powerful demon. Nero fight the demonic priest who is empowered by the powerful demon when he is trying to stop the ritual but he is too late and the ritual is completed, opening a portal between the worlds.

    when the portal is opened (right after Nero defeated the demonic priest), the climatic fight between demon hunters and the powerful demon begins shortly after. Dante and Vergil, although too late to fight the demon before it passes through the portal, popped out of the portal and back to the Human World. before the climatic fight, the player can choose between Nero, Dante and Vergil. once the player selected their character, the other two will be controlled by AIs and the three hybrids will fight together to defeat the demon.

    once the fight is over, Dante and Vergil try to fight start a fight again but Nero quickly stops them. after that, the trio (and anyone else involved) leave the place (and maybe go to Devil May Cry).
