Would anyone else what to see Lucia come back for a DMC 6? I think she’s got an absolutely sick design and it’d be a shame to relegate her to being just the the character who was in the bad one.

Random rant. Love the game and all, but for a game that needs player to keep retrying missions to improve, the Retrying function is so frustrating.
I’m still definitely not the best at this, but I felt like I’ve definitely got a lot better at this fight

Demon/human hybrids as antagonist for DMC 6

Since DMC 5 ended on an open note, the serie can go in any direction now. And since the Sparda's Sons arc is over, the story can focus on something else now.

Now for a villain choice Mundus seems like a good option. He's being missing since DMC 1 and is only mentionned in some romans during Kamiya's time which are basically non canon now (unless we take every absurd things as canon, which would make no sense with the games). But bringing him back just do a revenge story with Dante and Vergil would be too easy and won't serve any purpose but fanservice.

So I thought about some way to make Mundus relevent, and I got the idea of him working on creating his own breed of human/demon hybrids. It would make sense since he was defeated by Sparda who unlocked a new power when he awoken to justice, and Dante also defeated Mundus by tapping into Sparda's power after witnessing Trish sacrifice herself for him. It would also be coherent with Mundus's absence since DMC 1 since he would then have studied the power that defeated him twice in his own ways. That would then lead Mundus to think about what he's missing, and to create his own breeding ground for hybrids, giving him test subjects to experiment on. For humans, he would simply kidnap people during small demonic incursions, ging unnoticed in the process.

From here, we could have Mundus forcing every of his hybrids into hellish trials, keeping only those strong enough to survive and indoctrinate them into serving him above all. The result would be basically a twisted version of the protagonists of the serie serving as Mundus's lieutenants, each with their own capacity, DT, Devil Arms, etc. For a number, 3 or 4 of those lieutenants would be enough., with each of them being educated by Mundus himself after being chosen. And for the rest of the hybrids, Mundus could still use them as fodders by putting them into Angelos armors or just breaking their minds and forcing them to regress into mindless demon beasts.

This twist on the serie's themes could really add new depths to the story. For example, since the beginning of the serie, it's being said that being human make you stronger and it served every protagonists in each games. Those twisted hybrids could take that and flip it over by using this statement against them. Because as twisted as they are, the lieutenants would still remain human and each of them would have his own state of mind about their situation. For example, one could have abandoned his sense of self and devoted himself entirely to Mundus, embracing the brutality of the demon but still holding a twisted love for Mundus. expressed through a fanatical behavior. Another could have regressed his vision of the world into a simplier one to withstand the horror or the trial, becoming a brutish, but somewhat childish person. They are many path to take with those characters, and they would be a perfect counterpart to our three demon hunters.

I got some ideas for characters with this concept, but this post is starting to get long. I'll post about them if some people want to know more about it.

So I've been stuck at Mission 14 on DMD, trying to S rank it for hours.

There's no check point between the three bosses. So if I f**ked up, I have to retry. Can't even close the app and continue. On HnH I actually already S-ranked the mission because bosses have only half the HP. Even if I failed I can retry and it takes half the time.

DMD bosses are meaty so my fingers hurt. But well.

The worst part is the loading. I hit Retry missions. Loading screen. Mission preparation page. Hit Start Mission. Loading screen. Enter level, can't move immediately because V needs to finish his monologue "Longer, just hold on a bit longer...". Walk through a meaningless corridor where nothing happens. Enter an area where V collapses and you can't jump, run, sprint, just WALK.

All this takes about 5-7 minutes on my base PS4.

End of rant. Better get back to the game.
