Trish is a blitz wearing Eva as a skin suit

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 10:35 AM PST

Both Trish and the blitz are creations of Mundus per the DMC4 bestiary. The connections with their combat styles are obvious. Both Trish and Blitzes use lightning, teleport, and both can go toe to toe with Dante unarmed, but here's where it gets interesting:

Demons need hosts to inhabit the human world. The seven sins in DMC3 were made of sand for instance. The only exceptions are if the demon is extremely powerful like Sparda or Mundus, or if a direct portal is opened like with the Qliphoth. Trish is not on Sparda's level nor Mundus', and there was no portal to hell on Earth in DMC1 until Dante opened it later in the game. Even the great Abigail from the animated series needed Sid as a host. That means Trish needed a host too. She isn't made of sand clearly, and she is as human as demons get. She can cry real tears, feel empathy, and everything else. What host would give her those abilities but a human? Mundus wants total revenge against Sparda and his family and loves his mind games. Makes sense that he might have used Eva's body to that end.

And you may be thinking "But aren't Blitzes blind?" But what is Trish almost never seen without? Her signature sunglasses. Yep, even indoors. Maybe she navigates by sound? Who knows. Maybe this is why she didn't move when the Nightmare's chamber caved in over her. Overwhelmed by the sounds?

This is almost certainly not intended by the developers, but it does make for a nice headcanon. Hope you enjoyed the read. Follow me for more batshit DMC lore theories.

So this is what happens if you get hit with Urizen's slow bubble while trying to use a Judgement Cut End

    Let's say Vergil was successful.

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 05:51 PM PST

Either during DMC3 or DMC5, whichever. Let's say Vergil was successful, and wasn't defeated by Dante several times.

What happens then? If he ends up killing Dante and/or Nero, and manages to prove to himself that his power is indeed absolute, what does he do at that point? Now he knows that he is fully capable of protecting the people he just murdered?

What is Vergil's endgame involving his friends and family if he succeeded? It's true that Vergil's goals are paved with love - however misguided it may be - because he's able to use Devil Trigger and stay in control of it instead of becoming a mindless demon. His humanity and love temper the demonic power, like yin and yang, ensuring he remains himself whenever he transforms instead of becoming like one of the lame mindless beasts that we farm styleranks on (Urizen is an exaggerated example of such enemies.)

Which means, obviously, that his goals are paved with good intentions but are utterly misguided. So what does he expect if he ends up having to kill his family and friends in order to gain the power to protect them?

Or, is he a revolutionary? By killing his family and friends, he ends an era, and would prove that he is strong enough to protect whatever family and friends he would make in the future?
