SOS Vergil 55 seconds (Super Nero)

    Posted: 09 Sep 2020 09:17 AM PDT

Doing some Devil May Cry streaming tonight and he insisted on being on the stream too.

    Posted: 09 Sep 2020 03:29 PM PDT

After 30 plus attempts of defeating Vergil in SOS without using any orbs I finally did it in my most butt clenching moment. This meant so much for me as I’m still trying to get better with style switching.

Question about this room on mission 13 of DMC 3: Is there a way to get the light to hit the statue in the top left or is it just a distraction? I've always wondered this but can't find anything outside this room there is a gated area I don't remember ever getting into

Could Sparda separate him self with the yamato?

    Posted: 09 Sep 2020 08:13 AM PDT

So since we know that the Yamato can separate man from devil, which Vergil did to become urizen

    so what about Sparda?

( sorry if there's any grammar errors)

What do you guys want from the special edition? Take note this doesn't have to be simple, but it has to be feasible. These are my (Long shot won't be done prob) hopes.

-Playable Vergil (duh) -Playable bosses (boss vs character for only that mission, won't be made though) -Free play (still normal campaign but an alternate mode with every character that can be used for every Mission)( new achievements) -Costumes (I Guess)

About people talking about Vergil's styles

    Posted: 09 Sep 2020 05:55 AM PDT

So I just someone talking about how playable Vergil should have multiple new styles and whatever and I'm just assuming but...

Didn't Vergil basically have all 4 of Dante's default styles back in DMC3? Hear me out:

Trick up, trick down, air trick, all that good stuff, Trickster obviously.

Spiral swords, Blistering swords, storm swords are just like Dante's gunslinger moves (especially i can see the resemblance between Acid Rain and Heavy Rain swords)

Round Trip obviously resembles Swordmaster's Sword Pierce and Judgement Cut and Rising Star slightly resemble Agni & Rudra and Beowulf's swordmaster actions such as Crawler and Real Impact in terms of their functions.

Vergil's blocking is an obvious Royalguard equivalent. Maybe he could even spend his Rage Meter to make that shield bubble.

I mean, he is Dante's twin brother, it only makes sense for them to have similar abilities but you know, it's just my ramblings

    DmC vs DmC DE

    Posted: 09 Sep 2020 04:55 AM PDT

I have only played the definitive edition, so I am curious about this. What are the big differences between both of them (not graphics but other stuff)? I brought his up because I recently heard the non definitive edition did not have a lock on.

Realistic ways to fix DMC4's backtracking problem?

    Posted: 09 Sep 2020 04:51 AM PDT

Let's just imagine that it's 2007 and all of us are working at Capcom developing the newest next-gen masterpiece, DMC4. Time is quickly running out and we just got a message from the executives that we need to add levels for Dante before the release date. We can't POSSIBLY just make the players clear the same levels as before but just as a new character, can we? What should we do? What are your suggestions?

I'll start: So, we already have that set-up in which Sanctus and Agnus have opened up a bunch of Hellgates all over the town. We also have all these bosses than Nero kept alive but they just fled back to the underworld. Nero is captured, Dante needs a quick way to receive the Yamato from Agnus who returned all the way to the first level of the game.

My suggestion is that Dante uses one of the Hellgates, let's say there is a conveniently placed one right next to the Savior, to power it with demon energy perhaps, and enters the demon world to traverse through the town without running into all the demons that have raided the streets. I know what some of you are saying, "that would require new models for all the new environment and we don't have time for that" and to that I say:

Think back to DMC1. Mallet Island, Mundus' castle, Dante enters the underworld. What does he use? Mirrors, puddles of water, all that good stuff. How does the underworld look? The same as the castle, an asset that's already made and is in the game, just like upside down or mirrored with just a couple of some throbbing bits and stuff.

What if in this game, DMC4, we make Dante backtrack through the same levels that we completed as Nero, but now all the buildings are upside down and the forest section would be filled with throbbing trees or something. Dante would fight all the bosses Nero has already beaten but now their boss battle stage is all red and spOooOoky and Dante would close all the hellgates from the other side up until the third to last mission where Dante goes back to the human world to fight Agnus and get back the Yamato.

What are your thoughts on this suggestion? Do you think it would work? It's all hypothetical of course and I'm not saying DMC4 is a bad game the way it is rn, i just felt like sharing the idea.
