A term which was not used for V gameplay, related to chess

So, we all know that V's and the familiar's moves are named after chess terms and I came across one which I didn't recall in the localization, so I had to look through videos and see where it was mentioned after reading the term on a JPN site. It's in the tutorial with V in Mission 4.

    https://preview.redd.it/0pgg3b3zajm51.png?width=723&format=png&auto=webp&s=e9c13b62f11fd56c98d6c0bd8803d0d6c6d34d96

The English version says "...can't finish off dying enemies", JPN had a lengthier description that says "enemies in suspended animation" and it further gives it another term (just like with "Stalemate") and this state for the enemies is named "Resign" (リザイン) (I believe "Resignation" is better).

Resignation can be done in chess (which I don't know anything about btw) so according to wiki"Players typically resign when they believe they are very likely to lose the game", so from this, I thought about the state of the enemies, resigning to their fate being overpowered by much stronger opponents. So, Griffon and Shadow could be "stalemated", while enemies damaged by them were "resigned".

Now I know why Lock and Load is remixed backwards in DMC4

Because Dante is running through the game backwards as well.

    Should I play DMC 4???

    Posted: 11 Sep 2020 05:52 PM PDT

I'm about to beat 3 but I've read that 4 is similar to 2 and 2 sucked donkey balls, so should I just skip to 5?

The deeper we go the higher we are?

    Posted: 11 Sep 2020 10:43 AM PDT

I'm so little confused about how the Qliphoth works?

We go deeper in order to climb higher... Is this just a dimensional thing? Or are we actually upside down in some way? I just don't get it

    Speed differences

    Posted: 11 Sep 2020 05:31 PM PDT

So recently I've been thinking about the speed differences between dante and vergil.

Trick is something they both do and the way trick is described as a extremely fast movement rather than a teleport strikes me as odd. In game we've seen vergil just waltz around the arena without trouble while dante locks on to something and goes right over.

My question is,are they really teleporting or are they moving so fast it APPEARS as if they are teleporting?
