I started drawing Nero with Ballpoint and Gel pen. Sorry for the semi-poor photo quality, my cameras aren't so good (like at all). But hopefully y'all will like it. Stay safe out there, fellow Devil Hunters!

Does anyone else wish DMC:V had a theatre mode?

    Posted: 28 May 2020 04:36 PM PDT

Playing thru the game again and I wished that this game had a theatre mode. Sometimes I manage some stylish moves and wanted to share without having to record manually via PS4 record. Anyway, great game can't wait for a special edition!

Trying to get Devil May Cry 5

    Posted: 28 May 2020 10:40 AM PDT

I have the other games but never played the Devil May Cry series because of the graphics and textures. The demo for 5 was a lot of fun, so I was considering getting it. But it's been $40 on the psstore for like two months. Does anyone know if the game ever goes on discount on the digital PS4 store?

More Power - a fun idea for a potential XCOM 2 mod featuring Vergil.

    Posted: 28 May 2020 06:31 AM PDT

I want to start out the post by making this very clear: This is not a real mod. It is not in development. Its nothing more than a fun idea that I had, and this is NOT intended as some sort of pitch to mod creators, its meant to be a fun hypothetical, nothing else. I have absolutely no experience in mod making or game creation, I don't even know how to code. However, if some absolute madman does want to try and make it real, you have full permission to take all my ideas for yourself and change them how you see fit. Good fucking luck, I can only imagine how difficult it would be to get this absolute clusterfuck actually working. This theoretical mod would function best alongside another mod that increases the number of enemies in every mission. This post was inspired by this extremely high quality Doom Slayer mod.

Who the fuck is Vergil? Vergil is the primary antagonist of the video game series Devil May Cry. He is a half demon, half human man with an obsession for gaining as much power as he can, often to the detriment of everyone around him. He's also a huge fucking weeb with daddy issues. Now, onto the mod...

    The Style Rank System

This is the most important feature of the entire mod. Its what separates it from standard overpowered cheat mods. With Vergil, its not about just finishing the mission, its about doing it as cool and stylish as possible, and obtaining the highest rank. Vergil is overpowered as fuck, so just simply winning the game is not the point.

Various moves will raise your Style Rank by differing amounts, but each one has a Style Cooldown. Style Cooldown basically means that when you use an ability that gives you Style Rank, you have to wait until the Style Cooldown ends before that specific ability can give you more Style. Using an ability while its on Style Cooldown resets the Style Cooldown, however you can still use the ability itself as much as you want unless otherwise specified. Not using any abilities or spamming the same abilities will cause your rank to go down. Each rank is as follows: Dismal, Crazy, Badass, Apocalyptic, Savage, Smokin' Style, Smokin' Sexy Style!

    Abilities

    • Slash - Vergil teleports to the targeted enemy and does a basic sword slash. Range is the same as Vergil's movement, like the Ranger's slash ability. 10 damage (ignores armor), no cooldown, end Vergils turn, and raises Style Rank by 1. Style Cooldown of 1 turn.

    • Judgement Cut - Vergil uses Yamato to cut through dimensions, allowing him to slash at any opponent within his movement range without needing to move himself. 10 damage (ignores armor), 2 turn cooldown, costs one action and does not end Vergil's turn, raises Style Rank by 1.

    • Summoned Sword - Vergil uses his demonic power to summon 6 ethereal blades and sends them flying towards an enemy. 8 damage (pierces 2 layers of armor), no cooldown, costs 1 action and does not end Vergil's turn, maintains Style Rank but does not raise it. Style Cooldown of 1 turn.

    • Storm Swords - Vergil surrounds an enemy with eight summoned swords, before sending all of them through the enemy simultaneously. Similar to how Void Rift will implode and cause damage after one turn, this move will take two turns to damage the enemy. On the turn its used, the swords will surround the target, inflicting Panic. One turn later, they will be sent into the enemy, damaging them. 15 damage (pierces 3 layers of armor), 3 turn cooldown, costs one action but ends Vergil's turn. No Style Cooldown. Raises Style by 2 ranks.

    • Heavy Rain Swords - Vergil creates a large amount of Summoned Swords above a designated point, and then sends them flying downward. Functions similar to grenades. 10 damage (does NOT pierce armor), 1 turn cooldown, costs one action but ends Vergil's turn. Two turn Style Cooldown, raises Style by 1 rank.

    • Air Trick - Allows Vergil to teleport anywhere within his movement range. Costs 1 action. No cooldown. Gives no Style.

    • Taunt Vergil taunts the enemy with (what he thinks is) a cool one-liner or pose. Does no damage, takes no actions, has no cooldown. Style Cooldown of 2 turns. Raises Style by 1 rank.

    Devil Trigger

Vergil uses his demonic heritage to change into his devil form. While in Devil Trigger mode, Vergil gains +2 to all attack damage, +5 to movement, heals 5 HP every turn, gains 3 armor, and instantly refreshes all cooldowns. Entering Devil Trigger mode resets your style ranking. In order for Vergil to activate Devil Trigger, he needs to fill the DT Gauge. The DT Gauge has 20 pips, which you fill by killing enemies. You fill more pips depending on how high your style rank is, D rank is one pip per kill (PPK), C is two PPK, B is three PPK, ect. all the way up until SSS which gives you 7 PPK, with a SSS rank you can fill the DT Gauge to full in just three kills. This is why I mentioned that this theoretical mod would work best with another mod that increases enemy count. When in Devil Trigger form, you drain 5 pips per turn, giving you a total of four turns in Devil Trigger form with a maxed out DT Gauge. However, you can activate Devil Trigger at any time as long as you have at least 5 pips of DT Gauge, but you will obviously have less turns in Devil Trigger form. While in Devil Trigger, you have 3 unique abilities you cannot use while in regular form:

    • Judgement Cut End - Vergil's ultimate ability. Use Judgement Cut on every single enemy within movement range. 30 damage to every target, has 1 charge which gets refreshed every time you enter Devil Trigger mode. Costs 1 action, ends Vergil's turn. Gives 1 style rank for every enemy killed.

    • Doppelganger - Spawns an ethereal copy of Vergil that can move and attack for as long as Vergil is in Devil Trigger, however this unit is only able to use Slash.

    • Quadruple S - A passive ability. If Vergil enters Devil Trigger with a SSS style ranking and manages to reach SSS by the time his DT runs out, the DT Gauge will be instantly refilled to the amount it was when you first entered Devil Trigger. For example, if you have 5 pips of gauge and enter DT, you will instantly receive 5 pips into the DT Gauge the moment you exit Devil Trigger mode, but only if you get SSS.

    Stats

    • Movement - Vergil's base movement is the same as an XCOM soldier with a Superior Speed PCS.

    • Actions - Vergil has two action points.

    • Health - Vergil has a base 20 health, and regenerates 2 HP every turn.

    • Will - Vergil cannot be effected by psionics such as mind control or panic infliction. Damaging psionics such as soul fire or the explosion of void rift still do damage, however.

    • Aim - Vergil cannot miss with any of his attacks.

    • Defense - When not in cover, is a 35% chance on every enemy shot that Vergil will block the bullets.
