    Horcrux Sparda Theory

    I have a belief that the writers don't want us to have a definite idea how strong Sparda actually. All claims of Dante being stronger than Sparda is always backed up with "Some say", "some claim" and then suddenly in DMC5, the tone changes and turns into "Dante in his SDT from is probably stronger than Sparda".

    The fact that they always makes it hard to pinpoint how strong Sparda is I believe they want to do something with the fact that Sparda seals his power in a lot of things and his leads us to the Horcrux Sparda Theory.

    Sparda split his power and imbued them to a LOT of things. Sparda appears to be quite adept in sealing methods and he has done at least 5 times in the previous games. His power is imbued in the following: The Temen-ni-Gru, The Force Edge, The Amulet(it used to be a single amulet but Eva split it into two), The Rebellion and The Yamato.

    Now here is the thing: Its hard to pinpoint how strong Sparda was at his peak because the cumulative power of all the objects his power was sealed in can be changed anytime. The writers can always way "there are actually more stuff that Sparda put his power into so he always has been way way stronger than you imagined!". This is a clever way to introduce more plot points like Sparda having more power reservoirs and villains trying to get said power reservoir.

    This also raises the idea that Sparda might've died because he split his demonic power into way too many things ultimately making him weaker and weaker until he exhausted all the demonic power in his body making almost human. The burden of more 2000 years of life and him splitting his power into multiple major artifacts probably weakened him, making him die of natural causes.

    TL;DR, Sparda can be stronger than firsts established because its possible he sealed his power into many other things.
    Its possible Sparda could've died because he split his demonic power into multiple things and the burden of doing that weakened him and made almost human-like at the end of his life which caused him to die.

    DMC 3 Bloody Palace Help

    My first play through of all of the DMC games continues, and I have finally made it to the DMC 3. I beat every difficulty as Dante recently, and loved every second of the game.

    However, I made the dumbest mistake in the world. I started my playthrough as Vergil for the achievement, and went to save the game. Without thinking, I saved over the same save file and lost ALL of my Dante data. I had just beaten DMD and HOH, and was very excited to use Super Sparda in Bloody Palace.

    But, I'm at square one now and I have a question. Who is "better" for Bloody Palace? I'm curious so I know whether I should pursue Vergil or redo all of my stuff for Dante. I know that it will be challenging no matter what, but anything to make it a LITTLE easier would be great.
